Master Brokers Share Real Estate Marketing Secrets at SLS LUX

The MBF's June 2014 event featured an informative panel discussion and dinner at the SLS LUX sales center. More than 100 Master Brokers renewed acquaintances and networked during a lavish welcome reception.

Carlos Rosso, president of the Condominium Division for The Related Group (developer of the SLS LUX, along with The Allen Morris Company), greeted the guests and informed them about this spectacular hotel and condominium project, located on South Miami Avenue between Eighth and Ninth streets, scheduled to open in 2016.

This was followed by a special panel comprised of elite Master Brokers, discussing "Marketing Dollars: Where to Spend Them in 2014". (Marking the first time in many years in which a MBF panel featured only active members.) Moderated by MBF founder Helen Jeanne Nicastri, the panel included Oscar Arellano, Jo-Ann Forster, and Judy Zeder. The trio shared their most effective marketing strategies for real estate professionals in an extremely competitive, diverse, and evolving market, including various online tactics; the pros and cons of going "all in" with expensive, glossy inserts in daily newspapers; and the singular importance of the top decision-maker in such a hectic environment. The panel discussion was followed by an elegant dinner in the sales center’s charming courtyard.

Use these tips and tools to let the world know you are a MASTER BROKER

1. Feel free to use the MBF logo (CLICK HERE to download in .jpg format; CLICK HERE to download as .eps/vector) on all your listings and advertisements.

2. Make sure your property gets extra attention by adding **MASTER BROKER LISTING** in the "Broker Remarks" section of an MLS listing. Members who use this tactic receive more contacts from fellow members, and curiosity from agents who may become members in the future.

3. Make sure you "like",actively follow, and invite your friends to "like" the MBF Facebook page (CLICK HERE to visit) and use the handy "This Person is a MASTER BROKER" badge (see right) on your own personal and company Facebook profile(s).

4. JOHN DOE, MBF: While not an "official" designation, many members choose to sign documents and correspondence with "Firstname Lastname, MBF" to let colleagues know they are a Master Broker.
