2012 Member Dues Can Be Paid Online

In January, all members will receive an emailed invoice for their 2012 dues. That email will contain a link which will take members to a PayPal site where dues can be securely paid with a Visa or Mastercard.

PLEASE NOTE: for members who prefer to pay their dues with checks, that option will still be available.Look for more information in January.

Chapter Honors Alicia Cervera, Sr. and Evelyn Framer with Inaugural "Legacy Award"

At one of the most festive Holiday Celebrations in its history, the Miami Master Brokers Forum recently commemorated a resurgent market and the extraordinary careers of two Miami real estate icons. Hosted by Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust at their Coral Gables office, the 2011 Holiday Celebration brought together more than 100 Master Brokers for an evening of joy and reflection.

Chaired by Iliana Abella, Penni Chasens, and Nancy Iliffe, the festive event was held on the bank's lovely 8th floor terrace, overlooking downtown Coral Gables. Members were treated to an elegant cocktail reception and fine delicacies, while enjoying live entertainment and lovely weather.

During the course of the evening, the MBF thanked Gibraltar Bank for its generosity and support of the broker community. Steven D. Hayworth, founder, chairman and CEO of the company welcomed the guests and congratulated them on a watershed year for the recovering Miami real estate market. The MBF then honored departing board member Jo-Ann Forster, one of its original founders and most dedicated advocates, as well as Carole Smith, who served the board faithfully for five years.

The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the inaugural MBF "Legacy Awards",honoring longtime members who have enjoyed exceptional careers in Miami real estate, and whose leadership and professionalism elevated the standards for the entire industry. The MBF honored "the Queen of Brickell" Alicia Cervera, Sr. (who accepted the award from her daughter, Miami MBF past president Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, and Penni Chasens), and Miami Beach "Grand Dame" Evelyn Framer, who could not attend, but whose award was accepted by longtime friend and associate Silvia Chudnovsky.

"This was truly one of the most special and unique occasions we have ever put together, and I cannot give enough credit to our exceptional host committee for its success," said Emilio Palomo, Miami MBF chair."Special thank you to our friends at Gibraltar for the party and everything associated with it, and at Tui Lifestyle for the generous gifts for our members."
